LAST DAYS TO APPLY FOR THE TAX AMNESTY
The Ministry of Finance has enacted the Transitional Law to Facilitate Voluntary Compliance with Tax and Customs Obligations, offering taxpayers with tax debts the opportunity to catch up without paying interest, surcharges, or fines. This measure applies to obligations due until September 30, 2023, and taxpayers have until December 2, 2024, to take advantage of the law's benefits.
Benefits of the Tax Amnesty
Taxpayers who take advantage of the amnesty will be able to access:
- Total exemption of interest and penalties, paying only the base amount of your owed taxes.
- Installment payment facility: The law allows a plan of up to 9 monthly installments, with an initial payment of 10% of the total debt.
- Broad applicability: Those with overdue taxes and cases under audit, as well as situations in administrative, judicial, and fiscal proceedings, among others, can benefit.
Who can apply?
The amnesty is open to both individuals and legal entities with debts to the General Directorate of Internal Taxes and the General Directorate of Customs. It also includes those with active cases before the Tax and Customs Appeals Tribunal, the Attorney General's Office, and other instances.
